1v4 Quartet — General Rule
Change history
- 0.1 — 2026-06-15: stub status to be updated
The shared global rule for the 1v4 quartet format. It applies to every killer. Per-killer restriction detail (maps, win conditions, perk and add-on limits) lives in the sibling per-killer balancing pages, which complement this rule.
Killer ping
Section titled “Killer ping”The killer must hold a stable connection below 60 ms for the trial to count. Persistent high ping or instability is handled as a remake.
Required offerings
Section titled “Required offerings”- Killer: Cut Coin
- Survivor:
- Shroud of Binding — Causes all Survivors to spawn together in the same location.
- one of Hatch control offerings:
- in a map with shack: Annotated Blueprint — Make it spawn by the killer shack
- in a map without shack: Vigo’s Blueprint
Result counting and surrender
Section titled “Result counting and surrender”Hook and kill count
Section titled “Hook and kill count”The hook count increases each time a survivor reaches a new hook stage. Reaching second hook stage counts as one more hook. Reaching third hook stage, which sacrifices the survivor, also counts as one more hook.
A dead survivor always counts as 3 hooks, no matter how that survivor died.
If a survivor escapes through the hatch before all generators are completed, that survivor is counted as killed.
Surrender result
Section titled “Surrender result”A side surrenders by disconnecting from the match. When a side surrenders, the match stats are finalized at the time of the disconnect. The surrendering side is treated as doing nothing after that point.
Examples:
- If the killer surrenders at 5 hooks, 0 kills, and 2 generators remaining, the final result is 5 hooks, 0 kills, and 0 generators remaining.
- If the survivors surrender at 5 hooks, 0 kills, and 2 generators remaining, the final result is 12 hooks, 4 kills, and 2 generators remaining.
When surrender is allowed
Section titled “When surrender is allowed”Either side may surrender once that side can no longer achieve its win condition.
Survivors may also surrender when all survivors are downed and unable to act. In that case, one survivor disconnect is enough to surrender for the survivor side.
If only one survivor is still standing, only that survivor may surrender for the survivor side.
